What it is
Smart Reply is a lightweight extension for phpBB that enhances the native quick reply with per-post contextual actions, quick quote, mentions, local draft, quick responses, and a more practical composition interface.

Requirements

• phpBB 3.3 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher
• phpBB native quick reply enabled

Installation

1. Copy the extension to
   Código: Selecionar todos

   ext/mundophpbb/smartreply

2. In the ACP, go to Customize > Manage extensions
3. Enable Smart Reply
4. Adjust the options under Extensions > Smart Reply

Main ACP options

• Enable or disable the extension
• Restrict by forum IDs
• Auto-expand the editor
• Save draft locally
• Show or hide contextual snippet
• Set contextual snippet size
• Persist a lightweight context note in the message
• Use compact toolbar
• Show or hide Quick quote
• Show or hide Mention
• Show text or only icons on post buttons
• Define global quick responses and per-forum quick responses

Recommended workflow

• Use Reply as default to keep the topic cleaner
• Use Quick quote when the reader really needs to see the quoted snippet
• Use Mention to call out a participant without creating an unnecessary quote

Notes

• Smart Reply works as a progressive enhancement over the phpBB quick reply
• If the phpBB quick reply is disabled, the extension remains inactive in that context
• Autosave uses the local browser, so restoration depends on using the same browser/profile

Stable baseline
Version 1.17.7 is the documented stable baseline for the current stage of the quick reply.
