Introducing Help Desk for phpBB

Help Desk is an extension designed to turn phpBB into a support and request management center, without losing the simplicity and native structure of the forum.

The purpose of the extension is to allow support topics to be handled in a more organized, clear, and operational way, bringing the forum experience closer to a ticket system while still preserving the familiar phpBB workflow.


What Help Desk is for

Help Desk is intended for communities, support teams, technical assistance, collaborative projects, and environments where it is important to manage user requests in a more structured way.

It is especially useful for those who need to:
  • organize support requests with greater control;
  • separate service by department or category;
  • track the priority, progress, and ownership of each ticket;

Main uses of Help Desk

With this extension, topics can be treated as tickets, with features that help both the end user and the team responsible for handling requests.

  • topic creation with a workflow oriented toward support;
  • use of a subject prefix to standardize tickets;
  • organization by status, priority, department, and assignee;
  • tracking tickets with no response, overdue tickets, or very old tickets;
  • a team panel with an operational queue overview;
